Legislation in noise pollution means many venue's now require sound limitation devices to be installed (particularly where an entertainment license applies).  The dutch brand Dateq have been producing class leading sound limiters for over 25 years and offer a wide variety of sound limitation solutions.

Highlights include the SPL-6 sound limiter which in addition to monitoring the regular dB(A) standard also monitors the bass in dB(C).  Featuring a 10-band octave limiter, limitation can also be assigned by frequency band.
