The DATEQ SPL-D3MK2 is an advanced, high-precision sound pressure level (SPL) display and data logger. Building on the success of the SPL-D2, the MK2 version introduces powerful network capabilities and robust internal logging, making it the definitive choice for venues that require strict compliance monitoring and historical data reporting.
This unit serves as a high-visibility visual guide for DJs and sound engineers, ensuring they stay within preset limits, while simultaneously providing owners with a detailed record of sound levels for at least 180 days.
Integrated Data Logging: Unlike basic displays, the SPL-D3MK2 features a processor-based logging system that stores sound level samples directly. It retains at least 6 months of data, which can be viewed via software or exported to a USB drive in .csv format.
Three-Stage Visual Warning: The high-efficiency LED display uses a traffic-light system. Digits remain Green during safe levels, turn Orange as you approach the limit, and switch to Red if the threshold is exceeded.
Network & PoE Support: Equipped with an Ethernet port and DHCP support, the unit can be integrated into a local network for remote monitoring. It can also be powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE), simplifying installation by using a single cable for both data and power.
Customisable Calendar Functions: Schedule different decibel limits for specific times of the day or days of the week—perfect for venues with stricter noise restrictions during late-night hours.
Fraud & Tamper Detection: The device logs more than just sound; it records power-ups, sanctions, and potential tampering, providing a secure audit trail for local authorities.

The SPL-D3MK2 is designed to work as a standalone precision meter with the included DCM-5 Class-2 microphone, or as a slave display for the DATEQ SPL5MK2 and SPL6 limiters.
For total control, it can be paired with the optional SRL-1 Stage Relay, allowing the unit to act as a circuit breaker. This can automatically cut power to equipment or trigger external warning lights if sound limits are consistently ignored, all without affecting the audio quality of the main system.
