The Fonestar SONORA-5B16 is a professional-grade 5.25” loudspeaker designed for high-performance audio in distributed sound systems. While it shares the premium aesthetics and durability of the SONORA series, the "16" version is specifically engineered with a 16 Ω impedance. This allows for more speakers to be connected in parallel to a single low-impedance amplifier channel, making it the perfect choice for larger venues that require uniform sound coverage without the need for a 100V line system.
By utilizing a 16 Ω design, the SONORA-5B16 provides system designers with greater flexibility. You can safely wire two speakers in parallel to achieve an 8 Ω load, or even four speakers to achieve a 4 Ω load on a single amplifier channel. This allows for high-fidelity, low-impedance audio across larger spaces like long corridors, expansive restaurant floors, or multi-zone retail environments.
